Lance S. Holman is the President and CEO of HolmanCapital Corporation, where he drives the firm’s mission, strategic direction,and operational planning. With over 30 years of experience in corporate andpublic sector finance, Mr. Holman has built a distinguished career in capitaldeployment, institutional investments, and product development.

Prior to founding Holman Capital, he held leadership roles at SunTrust Equipment Finance & Leasing Corp. and Banc One Leasing Corporation, specializing in the origination and structuring of tax-exempt leases and debt obligations for public agencies. His expertise spans a broad range of asset classes, including equipment, aircraft, real estate, technology, infrastructure, and energy efficiency projects.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Holman served in management roles at Ford Motor Credit, focusing on global product strategy, and at U.S. Bank, contributing to institutional investment initiatives. His leadership is defined by a commitment to delivering innovative financial solutions tailored to the evolving needs of public sector clients.  A published author of numerous finance articles and a frequent speaker at banking and public finance conferences nationwide, Mr. Holman holds a B.S. in Public Finance from Indiana Universityand both an M.B.A. and an M.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado.

Mr. Benedix began a career in public service as a Cass County Commissioner in Michigan, where he developed a deep passion for community finance and economic development. He later served as Director of Community and Economic Development for a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives, contributing to multiple community development and service initiatives.

In the private sector, Mr. Benedix spent more than 20 years in industrial sales, working with clients ranging from family-owned businesses to Fortune 100 companies. His leadership extended globally, training sales teams across Europe and China. He also spent six years in bank branch management and lending with large regional banks, further honing his expertise in financial services.

Mr. Benedix holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Western Michigan University and pursued graduate studies at Indiana University. He is an Affiliate Member of the Michigan Association of Drain Commissioners, reflecting his ongoing commitment to infrastructure and public service.

Mr. Benedix currently resides in South Bend, Indiana.

Tim Kauffman is the Senior Vice President of Public Sector Finance at Holman Capital Corporation, where he leads financing initiatives for public agencies in Colorado, Kansa, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming. He specializes in structuring taxable and tax-exempt financings to support the equipment, infrastructure, real property, and energy needs of municipalities, counties, fire districts, educational institutions, utilities, health systems, and other local government entities.  

Prior to joining Holman Capital, Mr. Kauffman served nearly a decade as the elected Treasurer of Jefferson County, Colorado, and spent six years overseeing the administration and distribution of a local government investment pool. His public service career also includes seven years on the Westminster, Colorado City Council, where he championed civic engagement and fiscal responsibility.  

Mr. Kauffman has held numerous leadership roles on industry and community boards, including positions as Board Chair and Vice Chair, reflecting his deep commitment to financial stewardship and community development. He earned a B.A. from Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana, and currently resides in Westminster, Colorado.

Brent W. Kuhn manages Holman Capital’s West Coast Public Finance Sector. He brings over 30 years of experience in municipal, governmental, and public sector finance, complimented by executive leadership roles as Chief Financial Officer for multiple companies across the law, healthcare and sports industries. Mr. Kuhn manages the all business activities in California, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.

Mr. Kuhn’s career encompasses investment banking, municipal debt structuring, and capital planning for public agencies, as well as financial strategy and organizational growth in the referenced industries. He is recognized for his expertise in capital deployment, institutional investment management, and for developing innovative financial solutions that align public needs with investor priorities.

He is a respected contributor and advisor in the areas of finance, governance, and corporate strategy. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to disciplined fiscal management and fostering growth and innovation across both public and private enterprise.

Mr. Kuhn earned his M.B.A. from the University of Southern California and his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Redlands.  He is a member of the MLAA at USC, and an avid golfer and member of the USGA.

Previously, Mr. Lott worked as a Capital Market Analyst at Holman Capital Corporation where he focused on credit underwriting, financial modeling, interest rate analysis, and loan administration.

In addition to his finance career, Mr. Lott has over a decade of experience in real estate as a licensed agent and investor with a laser focus on acquiring, upgrading, and remarketing properties in select U.S. markets.

He holds a B.S. in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton, and an M.B.A. from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine.

In her previous role as Deputy Director of the Arizona Parks & Recreation Association, Mrs. VanderMolen led initiatives spanning 18 states, supporting more than 2,100 Arizona professionals, and achieved record growth in membership and sponsorship through process improvements, powered by technology. Her leadership in digital communications and conference management significantly expanded the association’s statewide influence.

As Assistant Principal and Activities/Facilities Director at Maricopa Unified School District, Mrs. VanderMolen strengthened regional partnerships, enhanced student outcomes, and led strategic campus initiatives. She was part of a small dynamic leadership team that elevated the school’s performance rating from D to B within three years.

Mrs. VanderMolen holds a Master of Education in Administration & Supervision from the University of Phoenix, a Post Baccalaureate in Secondary Education from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a Public Relations emphasis, from California State University, Fresno.

With over 17 years of experience as Finance Director for various government entities—most recently the City of Fountain, CO—Mr. Lewis brings deep expertise in public finance. His career also includes roles as a partner at an international accounting and consulting firm and as CFO for several corporate organizations.

Mr. Lewis is one of only 11 professionals recognized with the Certificate of Achievement in Governmental Accounting by the Colorado Society of CPAs. He has served on the Government Finance Officers Association’s Special Review Committees for both the Annual Consolidated Financial Report and Budget Award programs, and on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Government Finance Officers Association.

A published author, Mr. Lewis co-authored the Uniform System of Accounting for Community Associations and has contributed to numerous industry publications. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Denver.

Charles C. Greene, MD, PhD is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and is founder and president of Jacksonville ENT Surgery in Jacksonville Florida.

Dr. Greene received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine where he concomitantly performed research in the laboratory of Dr. James L. McGaugh (founding Executive Vice Chancellor of the University and Chairman of the Center for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory) and received numerous honors including the award for “Outstanding and Meritorious Service to the Community and Achievement in Academic Excellence”.

Dr. Greene then trained at the University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle where he was admitted into the very competitive Medical Scientist Training Program and simultaneously earned his MD and a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics with emphasis in Neurophysiology. At the University of Washington, Dr. Greene received multiple accolades including the “Leadership and Service Award”, “Special Recognition for Dedication and Service for Working with The Medically Underserved Award” and the first “Graduate/Professional Student Award for Distinguished Academic Work.

He performed his internship in General Surgery and residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where his accomplishments included the discovery of DFNA25, a Novel Locus for Dominant Nonsyndromic Hereditary Hearing Impairment (American J. He is an Executive Leader with Operational and Strategic Experience at all levels and across all functions in one of the top 10 corporations in the world. He has a proven track record leading Marketing, Sales, Financial Subsidiaries, and Operating Divisions. During his Fast-track 35 year career, he successfully managed the Lincoln and Mercury Divisions, served as Chief of Staff for Marketing, Sales and Service for Ford Motor Company globally, and oversaw multibillion-dollar operating budgets, to lead teams through transformational change and subsequent growth.

He has used his natural talent for selecting the right people, building teams and motivating and empowering managers, to achieve exceptional results. Mr. Saunders has over 20 years combined marketing, sales and sales management experience, germinating business for large, multinational medical device and pharmaceutical corporations.

His career commenced in 1990, where he expeditiously built a multi-million dollar book of business as a Sales Representative for Merck & Company, in St. Louis, Missouri. While at Merck, his responsibilities included the marketing and sales of various specialized pharmaceutical products, to Cardiologists, Internal Medicine Specialists, Urologists and Gastroenterologists. Mr. Saunders assisted in the launch of several new blockbuster products, including Vasotec I.V., Prilosec, Noroxin, Mevacor, Zocor and Proscar. Additionally, he sat on the President’s Sales Council, where he continually provided new and innovative sales ideas and marketing schemes.

In 1992, Mr. Saunders accepted the position of Marketing Specialist with St. Jude Medical, where he was accountable for the design and implementation of a launch plan for several new cardiac rhythm products, while also managing the daily operations of his multi-million dollar business, including service, educational training and expense management. Efficacious in this role, he was promoted to Sales Representative of Greater Los Angeles the following year.

In 1998, Mr. Saunders was recruited by Medtronic USA, Inc. as a Cardiac Pacing Representative covering Denver, Colorado. In this role, he successfully launched a dual-brand sales and marketing strategy, which enabled him to gain market share and growth, by intensely focusing on key accounts. In addition to these duties, Mr. Saunders was responsible for effectively managing all daily operations in his market, including customer service, educational training and support.

In 2001, Medtronic USA Inc. promoted Mr. Saunders to District Sales Manager with the responsibility of leading and managing a portfolio of Cardiac Rhythm Medical Devices, supervising a team of 30+ direct reports, generating millions in revenue, a role which has and continues to earn him various awards and accolades.

In addition to his business endeavors, Mr. Saunders is a member of several professional organizations including: The Heart Rhythm Society, The Association of Black Cardiologists, The United States Golf Association and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He has also served on the Board of The Children’s Center for Autism.

Mr. Saunders holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Missouri and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado.

Chris Carr is the executive vice president, chief procurement officer for Starbucks. Chris is responsible for enhancing the enterprise-wide functional strategic sourcing and supplier relationship capability, including the global sourcing processes, sourcing talent management program and building a uniform approach toward suppliers across all categories of spend. He is also accountable for shaping Starbucks global supplier base into an integrated eco-system that is accretive to the company’s values and generates customer-insight driven innovation.

Chris previously served as executive vice president for Starbucks retail licensed stores across the U.S. and Americas. He was responsible for the strategic planning, annual operations, market planning and profitability for the region’s approximately 6,200 licensed stores, which generated annual system-wide sales in excess of $3 billion. Chris also served in several senior executive retail operations positions for both Starbucks company-operated and licensed stores where he played a critical role on the Americas leadership team with developing and bringing the company’s transformation agenda to life. The turnaround of the company’s performance led to all-time highs in partner (employee) engagement, customer satisfaction and shareholder value.

Prior to joining Starbucks, Chris spent the majority of his career with Exxon Mobil, developing, leading and implementing retail operational strategies for its Global Fuels Marketing downstream businesses.

Chris holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of San Diego, and a MBA from the New York Institute of Technology. He serves on the board of REI, is a member of the Institute of Prostate Cancer Council Research and an active member of the University of San Diego Emerging Leaders Council.

Chris grew up in Los Angeles, California and resides in Bellevue, Washington with his wife Jacquelyn, their two teenage children and their labradoodle Dallas. Chris is a Starbucks Coffee Master whose typical Starbucks beverage is a cup of coffee consisting of Latin America blends.
Chris served on the Holman Capital Corporation Board from 2009 – 2016. He is currently a special advisor to the company.
