ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Public Finance Banker will be responsible for delivering debt and equity solutions to the federal government, state and local governments, and educational institutions. This role will be expected to work directly with C-suite executes to structure customized financing solutions to achieve client objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Analyze financial statements and structure complex financing solutions to assist senior management with achieving their goals quickly and efficiently
- Generate loan and capital lease volume with municipal and educational agencies
- Present pitch books to senior management
- Create financial models and amortizations to illustrate financial solutions
- Manage client due diligence process
- Extensive travel in California and select US cities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Demonstrated interest in gaining domain expertise in state and local governments and education
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Outstanding work ethic
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Five to ten years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, public or corporate finance, and business development
- Bachelors degree with relevant coursework in finance and accounting
- MBA Preferred
